Seiko Baby Marinemaster - The modern reinterpretation of the 1968 DIVER

The new evolution concerns the shape of the case, even more dynamic and impressive than before. The ultra-angular and voluminous lugs are designed even better than the SPB077 and contribute greatly to the visual robustness of this watch. The watch has a commanding presence that fits the model, with a wide polished bezel running down the case. The crown is classically screwed at 4 o'clock. Other noteworthy features are the presence of an anti-reflective sapphire crystal, a solid steel caseback (screwed down) and a water resistance rated at 200 meters.

As for the dial, Seiko brings a few updates here as well. While the indices are typical of the 1968 watch, they have been slightly redesigned, with a more pointed element at 12 o'clock and a luminous texture at 3 o'clock (absent on previous models). The hands are also more faithful to the original concept (no arrow hour hand) while the second hand is now equipped with a red and white shovel-shaped tip (reminiscent of the Japanese bandiara). Finally, the luminous material (Lumibrite) is white in color for a more technical aspect.
